Haruhi is back, and K-On! is coming too

Kyoto Animation will produce an anime adaptation of K-On! It’s a four-panel comic strip manga written and illustrated by Kakifly.

It’s about the members of a high school light music club. The anime series will start showing in Japan in April 2009.

Haruhi’s fans will probably feel sad as this means that the rumoured second season of Haruhi Suzumiya is not going to happen, at least not soon.

Haruhi Suzumiya 2nd Season

Update: Apparently there will be a second season for Haruhi Suzumiya. It’s not a sequel but an extended version of the first season.

They added 14 episodes into the first season which will show together in full (28 episodes in total) starting April, same month with K-On!.

I guess it’s double joy for Kyoto Animation fans then.
