AKB48’s Minami Minegishi shaved head, apologized, demoted for dating man

AKB48 member Minami Minegishi has shaved her head and apologized in public for her dating scandal – a taboo for the popular girl group.

Head shaving is considered huge humiliation and a sign of regret after making a big mistake. Minegishi’s agency claims that she did that on her own without telling the management in advance. The act is way too harsh regardless.

That couldn’t stop her from being demoted to a trainee position, it could be worse though, i.e. kicked out from the group completely.
